81% of students are happy with the current college course, a national survey by course advisory website CourseHub.ie has found.
34% however, say that their course is not what they expected it to be.
Over 10,000 students responded to the survey, making it one of the biggest ever undertaken in Ireland.
Founder Georgie Smithwick, commenting on the findings of the research said that: “I chose the wrong course not due to lack of research but due to the fact that the reality of the course didn’t match up to what I had been expecting.”
“A college prospectus can give you some insight but there is nothing more informative than hearing about a college course from someone who actually studies it. Had I had the benefit of CourseHub when I was filling out my CAO I would have saved a lot of time.”
